You will lead and manage the Industrial Design and Technology across years 7 to 12 to maximise academic attainment and engagement for our secondary students. You will manage a diverse team of teachers and resources to deliver high quality teaching programs for an improvement agenda around student outcomes and also manage a year level cohort for behaviour. About the Role: As the Head of Department - Industrial Design & Technology, you will: Lead the implementation and delivery of the 7-10 Australian Curriculum Design Technology Lead the implementation and delivery of the 10-12 courses (General, Applied and VET offerings) Lead the explicit improvement agenda of Design Technology faculty aligning with the BPSHS improvement agenda Continue to sharpen the quality of teaching and learning and nurture positive relationships between students, teachers, and stakeholders to maximise educational outcomes for students Specific duties include: Curriculum leadership and management for Industrial, Design and Technology (Australian Curriculum, Vocational Education and QCAA General and Applied) Develop and grow a contemporary vision for curriculum areas aligned to industry needs and deliver this through a change management process Leading implementation of the BPSHS Teaching and Learning pedagogical processes Leading moderation processes as per BPSHS Teaching and Learning cycle Leading implementation of an improvement agenda, facilitating change management Leading Instructional Leadership and coaching within and across the faculty Line management of staff and manage SPG (setting personal goals) process and staff performance Managing the human, financial, and curriculum resources of the Design Technology faculty The Head of Department is accountable to and under the direction of the Principal or delegate.
