The Role

We are currently seeking a passionate animal health sales specialist to join our Australian sales team and work across our Vi and VetQuip businesses. This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong business consultant to partner with veterinarian and clinic owners across a diverse range of high quality equipment and instrumentation products.
This role would suit either an animal health sales professional or someone from a clinical background (Vet, Vet Nurse or Practice Manager) who has gained some sales/business development experience. We are flexible for this role to be based out of either Sydney or Brisbane.
Your main responsibilities will include –
* Driving the success of an Instruments & Equipment (I&E) portfolio through a consultative sales approach and the delivery of technical excellence.
* Meeting budgetary, new business and call targets for profitable sales growth in assigned product lines.
* Assess and prepare quotations for new clinic builds or equipment upgrades across corporate, buying group and independent customers as required.
* Establishing and maintaining relationships with key customers and opinion leaders, using data to form key sales decisions and marketing activities.
* Collaborating and supporting our Provet Business Account Managers, Technology Solutions BDM’s, and Crampton Consulting Practice Development Advisors to provide a total solution offering.
* Providing training and development on I&E portfolio and promotions to internal stakeholders.
* Representing Covetrus as customer and industry conferences and workshops to promote our suite of I&E products.
About You
To be successful you will have;
* A proven track record of achieving sales growth in animal health or a clinical background as a vet nurse/practice manager with exposure to a surgical environment.
* A passion for the animal health industry coupled with the ability to understand data to drive better outcomes for our customers.
* Demonstrated ability to build lasting, value-add relationships within the animal health and/or agriculture industry.
* A current drivers license and the ability to travel as required.
* Bachelor degree qualifications in agriculture, animal sciences, business or similar (desired).
* Ability to develop quotations, respond to tenders and present practice improvement solutions.
* Experience in assisting new builds for clinics is highly desirable.
This position will require regular intra/interstate travel. Successful applicants can anticipate travelling away from home for up to one week per month.
