We do more than collect the bin from your street we also; convert waste into clean energy, divert food waste from landfill and convert to compost, manufacture customised waste management equipment, asbestos removal, refine and recycle oil, manage and maintain our fleet inhouse and have our own bespoke technology systems.

ABOUT THIS ROLE
As a JJ’s Yard Hand / Depot Labourer, you will perform general yard maintenance and carry out non-technical maintenance in our Largs North depot (Adelaide).
This role also incorporates the operation of the Filter Press.

DUTIES:
* Operating the Filter Press daily
* Sorting waste streams for processing
* Fixed plant operation as required - filter press / pump station / loading and unloading with forklift
* Labouring as an ‘offsider’ in a truck
* Maintaining general yard cleanliness
* Maintaining routine work records and inventories
* Carrying out non-technical maintenance tasks as required
* Manual handling around the yard
* Bins maintenance and stock control
* General house keeping and yard duties as required
* Maintaining routine work records and inventories
ABOUT YOU:
* Current Forklift Licence - essential
* Show interest and enthusiasm in a long-term career at JJ’s
* Reliable; we are an essential service industry
* Current HR licence - preferred
* Subject to a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol testing
* Able to provide your last 5 years’ traffic history at interview stage
* Well-developed people and relationship skills
