Kalgoorlie Power Group (KPG) is seeking a full-time Electrical Project Engineer to join our specialised operations and maintenance team. We deliver tailored solutions in the power generation industry, offering comprehensive mechanical and electrical support. Working closely with Project Managers, Directors, and cross-functional teams, you'll not only drive the success of current projects but also shape the future of our processes and systems. This role requires weekly trips to site for 1 to 2 nights during busy project periods.Key Responsibilities:Refine and execute KPG's tendering processes to ensure timely, cost-effective, and accurate project pricing.Develop and enhance project controls systems, tools, and processes.Collaborate on project strategy, planning, and implementation to optimize schedules and quality outcomes.Design and implement cost control and scheduling processes, ensuring accurate project forecasting, expenditure tracking, and risk management.Prepare commercial tenders, including writing contract scopes of work and managing reviews and contract awards.Act as a liaison for Client project representatives, KPG Senior Management, subcontractors, and third-party engineers.Coordinate site activities, including procurement, expediting, and construction support.Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and community standards.Provide detailed weekly and monthly project progress reports.Participate in quality management processes, including vendor inspections and documentation reviews.Qualifications and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience in a contractor-focused role.Strong understanding of project implementation, constructability, and OH&S standards.Solid background in contract standards and administration duties.Expertise in cost estimation, scheduling, and risk management.Proficiency with MS Project and other project control tools.Key Skills:Exceptional verbal and written communication.High level of accountability, integrity, and attention to detail.Strong numerical and estimating skills.Proven ability to influence stakeholders at various levels.Effective time management and multitasking abilities.A proactive mindset with the ability to evaluate and improve work practices.Why Join Us?Innovation: Be part of a team that values continuous improvement and cutting-edge solutions.Impact: Play a pivotal role in delivering high-stakes Energy projects.Take the next step in your engineering career by joining a company that values excellence, collaboration, and innovation.
