Your Role: As a Disability Support Worker, you'll provide direct support to individuals, helping them achieve their goals, including:Promoting independence in daily living and skill developmentConnecting individuals with community, recreational, and sporting groupsAssisting with public transport use and job placementCollaborating with families, employers, and other support servicesAdvocating for and empowering individuals in the community What We're Looking For: Required: At least 1 year of experience in disability support (preferred) Certificate III in Community Services, Individual Support, or a similar qualification (preferred)Trauma-informed knowledge and trainingExperience with continence care and managing challenging behaviorsExcellent problem-solving skillsStrong team playerExcellent communication and listening skillsProficient report writing skills Desirable: Experience working with NDIS participants, either individually or in a group home settingExperience supporting individuals with mental health challengesBackground in disability support, aged care, youth work, teaching, or counseling Limited to MALE applicants only as a special measure under Section 28 of the Equal Opportunity Act 2010 We Value Diversity!
