About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Truck Driver with an MC license to join our dedicated team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role involves ensuring the safe and timely transportation of goods across interstate routes.
Applicants from various locations will be considered, including those based between Melbourne to Brisbane. We can provide flexible arrangements for drivers, including flying them down for inductions and setting them up in a truck.
Key Responsibilities:
* Safely operate heavy vehicles to transport freight to designated locations.
* Adhere to assigned routes and schedules to guarantee timely delivery and pickup of goods.
* Assist with the safe and efficient loading and unloading of freight, ensuring compliance with load restraint regulations.
* Maintain accurate documentation, including logbooks and fuel/toll receipts.
* Conduct daily pre-trip inspections and address any mechanical or safety concerns before departure.
* Follow all road safety rules, especially those related to heavy vehicle operation.
* Collaborate with the transport manager and team members to support road freight logistics operations.
About You:
* You hold a valid MC license and have a clean driving record. HC licenses are also considered.
* Road train experience is preferred but not essential.
* You have experience in a variety of freight types and load restraint systems.
* You possess strong time management skills and thorough knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
* Experience in operating on board reporting technology (tablet) is a plus.
* You are proactive in maintaining vehicle safety and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
* You have excellent communication skills and can work collaboratively with a diverse team.
* A strong focus on safety and compliance with NHVAS Mass, Maintenance and Fatigue protocols is required.
