About the role: We’re looking to do things a little bit differently within our Program Management Team and we have a rare opportunity for an experienced Project Controls Leader. This role will lead a team of Project Controls Practitioners who specialise in scheduling and estimating.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Project Controls Manager, you will
* Provide a focal point within the Project Controls team for developing the estimates and fully resourced P6 schedules for the Program of works.
* Lead and drive strategic procedural changes regarding schedule development and maintenance and progress measurement and reporting.
* Liaise closely with the Project and Program Managers for all Estimating and Scheduling matters and work closely with the Construction, Commercial and Finance functions.
* Lead and drive the Change Management process for schedules and estimate development
* Provide guidance and input to the Cost and Schedule Risk Process.
* Assist with developing and managing the Project and Program Reporting process including Schedule Variance analysis, Progress and Key Milestones.
* Develop and integrate project coding across all schedule and estimating artefacts.
* Develop and maintain a fully Integrated Scheduling resource model to enable workforce utilisation analysis and availability constraints.
This holistic approach includes the implementation of people, processes and systems across Network Operations. Your success will be a result of your ability to unite a team of skilled practitioners to a common objective.
In respects to the technicalities, you’ll need :
* A tertiary qualification in Engineering or Construction is desirable.
* At least 5 years proven extensive experience in a similar role on previous large scale projects or program of projects.
* High level of leadership and management skills, particularly in relation to leading effective teams in a portfolio environment.
* Broad experience of project and program scheduling experience utilising Primavera P6, developing and maintaining fully resource loaded construction schedules, schedule risk management techniques and complex reporting systems.
* Broad understanding of estimating processes on large scale Capital Programs including ground up estimating, top down estimating and benchmarking.
* Good knowledge and understanding of Monte Carlo and Parametric Risk Assessment process
* Ability to develop and lead strategic change initiatives to drive process improvement.
* Interpersonal and verbal communication skills – establish strong relationships with team, group presentations, communicating effectively (verbal and written) with all personnel within the business.
