Our client URGENTLY requires a Senior Communications Advisor for a 37 months + Contract in Buderim. The Senior Communications Advisor will coordinate and supervise communication services for our client's significant projects program in the North Coast Region. The Senior Communications Advisor will lead a team responsible for executive correspondence, issues management, stakeholder relationship management, public affairs, media relations and community engagement. Accountabilities include: Lead, manage and coordinate the region's executive correspondence, community relations and community engagement programs. Supervise and coordinate the work of communications officers across the region, including review and approval of communication material. Provide tactical and operational advice to regional staff on communications issues and strategies, including the development, implementation and resolution of strategies and communication activities. Ensure appropriate governance frameworks are maintained and adhered to in order to monitor compliance with policy, legislation, regulations, standards and procedures. Provide training, advice and support to regional staff, consultants and contractors to enhance communication skills for delivering projects and initiatives. Experience in a strategic communication or community engagement role in an environment dealing with major infrastructure projects, particularly in the transport or civil engineering sector, will be highly regarded.
