The below is a list of high-level responsibilities for this role under the guidance of the Principal Security Specialist: Provide system administration services related to security infrastructure such as firewall management, DNS services, zero trust network access (ZTNA), URL filtering, SSL decryption, mail relay, secure VPN to clients. Conduct security incident investigation, by leveraging data sourced from both client and CITEC managed infrastructure, such as logs from firewalls, servers, applications, and DNS systems and coordinated through Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions such as Splunk, Sentinel. Perform security risk assessment as required. Develop a good understanding of overall security architecture for the Queensland Government's services CITEC provides. Participate in or quickly learn any new security technologies such as zero trust or cloud security solutions being implemented to provide ongoing operational support. Contribute to innovation and improvements in efficiency and effectiveness. Build collaborative working relationships with clients and staff to deliver customer-centric services.
