As an Operations Shift Manager, you'll play a key role in maintaining our customer expectations to ensure customer orders are delivered at the right time, to the right location.You'll be an inspiring leader in one of our Delivery Stations, where you'll work to continuously improve the efficiency of delivery processes, ensuring that customer orders are delivered as quickly, accurately, and cost-effectively as possible. Along with your peers, you'll ensure that all workflows run smoothly and that customer expectations are met, if not exceeded.Please note the shift pattern is based on 4 days on and 3 days off so flexibility is a must for this role as the site operates across 7 days.Key job responsibilitiesYou'll support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce.You'll maintain Health and Safety standards, while promoting a Health and Safety culture on-site.You'll collaborate with all support teams including Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, Human Resources to develop plans to meet business objectives.You'll need to push, pull, squat, bend, and reach varying weights.You'll stand and walk for up to 10 hours during shifts.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS1+ years of employee and performance management experience.Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.Can push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 45 kg during shifts.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience.Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.IDE statement:Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
