Our client is seeking an Executive Assistant for an initial 6-month contract with possible extension in their Fremantle, WA office.

Description:
Reporting to the divisional General Manager, the Executive Assistant provides executive-level support to the General Manager, supporting their strategic and daily functions. This position liaises on behalf of the General Manager with external customers, the Executive and Senior Leadership Team, and other government agencies.
Key duties include:
1. Assists General Manager in achieving the organisation’s objectives, plans and targets ensuring they are aligned to Fremantle Ports business goals.
2. Provides professional and administrative support to the General Manager, including diary management to enable the efficient organisation and execution of daily activities.
3. Supports the General Manager by triaging internal and external stakeholder requests and assists with internal requirements, including overseeing the implementation of decisions.
4. Reviews external developments and manages and coordinates special projects and initiatives on behalf of the General Manager to support Fremantle Ports’ strategic objectives.
5. Coordinates organisational activities requiring participation, involvement or responses by the General Manager including speeches.
6. Undertakes research at a management level on allocated assignments and provides recommendations to the General Manager.
7. Assists relevant staff with aspects of governance and administration for the General Manager as required.
8. Acts as one of the nominated building floor wardens.
Qualifications and Experience
9. Demonstrated experience in providing executive level support.
10. Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
11. Demonstrated experience in providing administrative support at an Executive level.
12. High-level of discretion and confidentiality.
13. Experience producing and maintaining confidential records, correspondence and related material.
14. Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a high-pressure environment and to prioritise important issues.
