About the role
We are currently recruiting for a Senior Database Systems Specialist to join the Critical Platforms team. The Senior Database Systems Specialist is responsible for providing support, development and expertise for Essential Energy’s Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS). The role will ensure that key technologies within Essential Energy operate in a reliable and efficient manner. The role also provides, on demand, support and development work for projects.
The Senior Database Systems Specialist will provide support and development expertise for Essential
Energy’s Intelligence and Reporting systems in all environments. The role is pivotal in ensuring Essential Energy unlock the true value of the data it owns through the appropriate use of current or future Business Intelligence reporting systems.
This role will be based within the Essential Energy footprint with the ability to work from home in a hybrid work environment.
About You
You will have extensive experience in a similar role in an ICT environment. In addition, you will have;
* Practical experience in designing, deploying and operating complex ICT systems determined by area
* (Integration, Reporting, Database Systems). Practical experience in the use of enterprise helpdesk
* software
* Practical experience with enterprise incident, Request, Configuration and change management
* software
* Practical experience in providing customer and operational support services in a large enterprise
* Practical experience in driving business improvement and increases in efficiencies
* Working knowledge of software relevant to the ICT systems determined by area (Integration, Reporting, Database Systems).
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor of Information Technology or demonstrated capability through past employment experience and/or relevant qualifications.
Desirable
* ITIL Certification
* Project Management Certification.
