Reporting to the Mining Coal Superintendent, the primary purpose of this role is to provide ongoing organisational support to the mining process to efficiently and safely achieve coal targets through the leadership and management of mining activities and execution of the mine plan. About the Role In this role you will be responsible for: Develop and implement plans to coordinate day to day activities within the department to achieve forecast targets; Communicate plans with supervisors and other relevant personnel, as required; Provide a link between operational superintendents in Mining, CHPP and Maintenance to ensure delivery of the business requirements. Identify and communicate risks associated with health, safety and environmental impacts; Assist with planning and coordination of resources within the area. Maintain a high level of positive safety performance and workplace culture through teamwork, personal commitment, and application of the company values. Developing and improving procedures. Understanding issues impacting on the production process areas. Recommending and initiating actions to address issues. Roster and Location Lifestyle Roster Dayshift Only On site at HVO About You: Demonstrated experience leading large operational teams in an open cut environment. Strong knowledge and understanding of coal mining methods including maximising recovery and minimising contamination related to quality and geological constraints. Experience supporting and developing mining supervisors for the purpose of maximising mine productivity, cultural alignment and employee growth and development. A current Open Cut Examiners ticket would be highly regarded. High level of interpersonal communication and negotiation skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively with personnel at all levels across multiple departments as well as engaging and influencing key external stakeholders.
