Café 63 is a highly regarded venue for its Australian food and welcoming hospitality in a vibrant atmosphere.Your challenge will be to uphold guest expectations, employee requirements and profitability. This is a unique opportunity to be part of an entrepreneurial brand with strong potential to grow within the business. Key objectives of the role include strategic planning, operational management, managing the financial aspects of the café, quality control, staff management, compliance and safety, and ensuring customer satisfaction.You will be responsible for all daily operations of the café inclusive of financial reporting, compliance, staff training, maintaining and creating exceptional customer relationships, and being a true professional and face of the business. You will be reporting directly to the director. You will need proven experience in the hospitality industry in a similar role.In this role, your main responsibilities include:Coordinate the entire café operationHiring and scheduling staffMenu planning and maintaining inventoryCoordinate with vendors, monitor budgets, and work to improve profit marginsMaintain effective management procedures to continue appropriate high levels of customer serviceBuilding strong customer relationships to continue growthFollow management procedures to effectively maintain cost budget percentageMaximising profitability whilst maintaining exceptional standards of quality and serviceDeliver superior guest services and ensure absolute customer satisfactionOptimise the potential and performance of the team to consistently deliver the expected results and ensure an exceptional dining experience is deliveredEnsure facilities comply with health regulations and are clean, functional and of suitable appearanceMonitor operations and initiate corrective actions.The successful candidate will have a passion for the hospitality industry, be career-focused, and have strong leadership qualities. Other key skills and experience will include:Relevant qualification at the level of a Diploma or higher AND at least 2 years of relevant work experience.At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualificationsProficient in English with good communication skills and team management skills.Demonstrated experience in customer service management.Sound knowledge of business and administrative practicesAbility to lead and train teamDriven to achieve business goals in an efficient and effective mannerYou must be a quick learner who is also reliable, creative, organized, hard-working, and well-mannered.
