Position Overview
The Senior Clinician ensures compliance with relevant quality and safety standards within a child and family clinical setting. This position works closely with the Service Manager to guide therapeutic practices and support staff to adhere to the model of care and evidence-based practice.
Qualifications
Approved tertiary qualifications in Mental Health Nursing, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or equivalent and relevant to the field of work, and provisional or full membership with AHPRA or an appropriate professional body.
Experience
* Previous experience in providing primary mental health intervention and evidence-based treatment and case management.
* Three (3) years or more clinical experience in working with children across a range of ages and developmental stages and delivering family-inclusive practice.
* Lead and participate in regular meetings to support staff in delivering services to clients by mentoring and providing consultation and feedback.
* Excellent knowledge of and sensitivity to the mental health needs of children and their families/caregivers.
* Experience contributing to clinical review processes and planning for consumers within a recovery framework.
* Current Working With Children Check.
* Australian Drivers License.
