About the Role:
Joining as an EL1 Procurement Capability Specialist, you will operate under broad direction to spearhead complex initiatives that drive quality outcomes across the procurement functions of our esteemed client. Your role will involve independent problem-solving, strategic policy advice, and proactive stakeholder management to advance organisational interests effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership in Procurement Capability: Lead the delivery of the Procurement Capability Programme, aligning with strategic goals and enhancing team knowledge.
2. Training Needs Analysis: Implement recommendations from procurement training assessments to elevate internal procurement processes.
3. Strategic Engagement: Support business units in adopting procurement principles through effective strategy and engagement initiatives.
4. Content Development: Create compelling procurement content for wide-reaching consumption within the organisation.
5. Communication and Stakeholder Management: Drive procurement communications and maintain critical stakeholder relationships through engaging presentations and consultations.
6. Capability Questionnaire Management: Administer and analyse procurement capability questionnaires to inform improvement strategies.
Required Skills and Experience:
7. Proven track record in managing complex procurement projects or programmes within regulated environments.
8. Experience in successfully leading a program of work with a high degree of autonomy.
9. Deep understanding of Commonwealth Procurement Rules and related legislative frameworks.
10. Strong stakeholder management abilities with proven influence and negotiation skills.
11. Strategic thinker with demonstrated problem-solving capabilities and sound decision-making skills.
12. Excellent communication skills, capable of developing impactful content and delivering persuasive presentations.
13. Experience in delivering technical training to a diverse audience.
