A statistician will play a crucial role in analyzing this data to identify trends, optimize payment processes, and enhance customer experience. Their expertise will support strategic planning, risk management, and product development, ensuring Pay.com.au continues to deliver innovative and efficient payment solutions in an increasingly competitive market.Job DescriptionAs a Statistician, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including but not limited to:Create, interpret, analyze and report on financial and business statistical data.Develop and maintain statistical models and forecasts that support our business objectives and strategies, such as revenue growth, customer acquisition, retention and churn, market share, profitability, cash flow and risk management.Devising mathematical models to stimulate processes and using numerical surveying methods to develop algorithms and perform calculations in order to allow for accurate analysis.Prepare and present data reports and dashboards that summarize and visualize key financial and business metrics and trends, using various tools and platforms, such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau or similar.Conduct data quality checks and validations, ensuring the accuracy, reliability and consistency of data sources and outputs.Research and monitor external data sources, such as the market demand, industry standards, competitor behavior and established practices in order to generate a comparative analysis and record valuable data insights.Provide risk, reward, and strategy analytics for purchasing, pricing, and operational management.Communicate and explain complex data findings and implications for stakeholders like senior management, clients, and investors using clear language and visuals like charts, graphs, tables, slides, or written reports.QualificationsBachelor’s degree or higher qualification in a related field.Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Attention to detail and precision in all aspects of work.Only shortlisted eligible candidates will be contacted.
