What’s the role?
13. Model the provision of community-centered, culturally-responsive, safe, and high quality podiatry services to clients across Congress’ town and remote clinics.
14. The Senior Podiatrist takes a leadership role within the podiatry team through supervision, quality-improvement, and comprehensive podiatric service delivery.
15. Coordinate, deliver and monitor podiatry services to remote Aboriginal communities
16. Work with the team leader – podiatry, to oversee the development of systems for the delivery of clinical care
17. Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver culturally safe podiatry services to Central Australia.
Is this the right role for you?
18. Tertiary qualifications in Podiatry
19. Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Registration
20. Experience in management of the high-risk foot
21. Demonstrated ability to provide high-quality podiatric assessment and intervention for clients within the context of primary health care in a professional, confidential and culturally safe manner
22. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team with experience in supervising and mentoring other health professionals
23. Knowledge and experience in planning, implementing and evaluating high risk foot programs using the principles of primary health care and Community-Control
24. Ability to travel to and work in remote locations up to a week at a time, including travel on light aircraft. 7
25. Current NT driver’s licence or ability to obtain.
Outreach services and regular overnight travel to remote communities are inherent requirements of the position.
