About the job You will work on an environmental, social and governance (ESG) decarbonisation project and will make a significant contribution to a leading gold producer achieving its regional decarbonisation target by replacing fossil fuel energy from the grid with onsite renewables generation, including a 35MWp solar farm and 42MWp wind farm.
The project roster is 2 weeks on, one week off, 10.5-hour days.
Responsibilities Contribute to the review, development, and maintenance of the project Health & Safety Management Plan and conduct regular audits to ensure compliance.
Support the project team in delivery of safety initiatives including Critical Safety Leadership and Vital Behaviours.
Coordinate and manage the preparation, communication, and execution of safety initiatives, OHS performance outcomes and management plans.
Facilitate significant incident investigations, identifying strategies to overcome the re-occurrence of incidents and manage incident reviews.
Develop, maintain, and deliver project OHS related training programs and safety inductions.
Collaborate and submit all relevant OHS reports and statistics as required by the project – weekly and monthly, including compliance-related reporting.
Assist in the utilisation of risk management practices and tools and the development and implementation of appropriate controls.
Review, comment and approve contractor safety documentation including HSE plans, CRAWs, SWMS and JHAs.
Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to assist in identifying and manage workplace risks.
What you'll have Tertiary degree or diploma in OHS or related discipline.
Experience in construction and/or heavy industry.
Extensive knowledge of relevant Health & Safety legislation and regulations.
Demonstrated experience in OHS in an operational setting with a strong working knowledge of OHS, risk management, emergency response and injury management in the resources sector.
Collaboration as an integral member of a multifunction team management team.
High level organizational and time management skills, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
Advanced level in Microsoft Office applications.
Previous experience in INX an advantage.
Possess a valid Australian Driver's License.
