About the role
We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our Maintenance team based at our Oberon, NSW manufacturing facility.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be working on state of the art equipment and will be responsible for:
1. Assisting in the design, assembly and installation of new and modified mechanical equipment and plant such as machine tools, components, controls and hydraulic power systems
2. Performing fault finding, field and laboratory tests and carry out complex computations and repairs on mechanical equipment including, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and mobile plant
3. Performing mechanical installation works in accordance to Site and Australian standards where required
4. Organising and overseeing inspection and maintenance of machine and plants to provide reports to management on estimated material costs associated with machine maintenance requirements
5. Performing Preventative Maintenance Tasks as directed by Mechanical Coordinators
As we continue to grow our operations, this role is also involved with equipment upgrades, installation of new machinery and decommissioning of old machinery.
This is a full time day shift role, working Monday to Friday (6:30am-2:36pm). Salary range for this position is $70,000 - $80,000 per annum.
About you
To be considered for this position you will have:
6. Mechanical Engineering Diploma or equivalent experience
7. Extensive experience in machine trouble shooting, problem solving and fault finding
8. Previous fabrication experience
9. Experience in pneumatic and hydraulic equipment
10. Ability to read and interpret drawings/blueprints
11. Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
12. Condition monitoring techniques
13. Leadership & supervisory experience
14. Have worked in a continuous manufacturing environment
15. Project management
16. Troubleshooting and problem solving
