Job Title: Bartender
Scope and Objectives: This position is responsible for serving food and beverages to guests according to service rules, policies, procedures, and etiquette, in line with our motto.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
* Create new beverage concepts under the leadership of the head mixologist.
* Ensure smooth running bar operations with a high level of skill in creating alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for all guests.
* Follow beverage training programs for each concept.
* Administer purchasing and receiving of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
* Exceed guest satisfaction by knowing preferences and updating profiles.
* Maintain detailed knowledge of the restaurant menu and daily specials at all times.
* Be familiar with beverage service including glasses used and appropriate garnishes.
* Anticipate and service guests' requirements at all times.
* Keep ahead of industry trends, creating and implementing new revolutionary standards.
* Use opening and closing checklists to ensure smooth operations.
* Serve and clear food and beverage items in an unobtrusive and professional manner.
* Present menus in a proactive manner.
* Feel empowered and accountable within the workplace.
* Keep the manager on duty updated on guest feedback for the Glitch Report.
* Attend all necessary briefings and training sessions as instructed by the Manager.
* Identify potential problems and anticipate guest needs, asking for assistance before service breakdown occurs.
* Perform any duties and special projects as requested by management, whether in your own department or any other department in the hotel.
* Report all issues and negative guest feedback properly on the glitch system.
* Follow the care program at all times, reporting issues through the system to maintenance.
* Ensure all hotel property and facilities are maintained in optimal working order.
* Assist with collecting information for the monthly P&L review.
* Record and report Glitch incidents with integrity and transparency.
* Link all facets of service, cuisine, and entertainment.
* Be in charge of training and grooming.
* Exceed all hotel standards at all times.
Qualifications:
* Proficient in English.
* A Degree/Diploma in Hospitality or equivalent is considered an asset.
* Experience with cocktail batching is an asset.
* At least 2 years of bartending experience in a similar environment.
* Impeccable wine, beer, and classic cocktail knowledge.
* Passion for food, beverage, and providing excellent customer service.
* Ability to multi-task and be a strong lounge server.
* Strong oral and written communication skills.
* Ability to stand for long periods and lift and move beer kegs, liquor, and wine boxes.
Estimated Salary: $50,000 - $70,000 per year.
