The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Clinical Nurse (Clinical Facilitator - Mental Health Community Services) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
* Support the Nurse Education Team within MHSS in providing education based programs
* Participate in Nurse Education meetings at Directorate and GCHHS Level
* Support processes for onboarding staff who are new to the mental health community team settings
* Utilise effective communication skills to develop and maintain professional relationships with staff
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
* A Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
* Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
* A postgraduate qualification within Mental Health Nursing is highly desirable
* Membership of, or affiliation with the Australian College of Mental Health Nursing and the Australian Nurse Teachers Society will be well regarded
* Driver Licence
* Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
* Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
* Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
* Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
* Temporary full time (10 months, with the possibility of extension)
* Base salary ranging from $4 138.10 - $4 431.10 per fortnight

The Mental Health Nursing Education Leadership Group is a centralised team led by an Assistant Director of Nursing, Education, along with a number of Nurse Educators and Clinical Facilitators. The Clinical Facilitators work to develop, promote and maintain excellence in all areas of nursing across the directorate.
