Key Responsibilities
1. Lead day-to-day mechanical engineering activities for major iron ore projects, applying standards and best practices.
2. Supervise, coordinate, and mentor mechanical engineering teams; estimate staffing needs and assign tasks to meet project goals.
3. Prepare discipline estimates, develop work plans, and manage project scope, schedule, and budget.
4. Oversee design and implementation of materials handling systems, including crushing, screening, conveyors, and pump stations.
5. Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and maintain compliance with Bechtel and client standards.
About You
1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, with 15 plus years of experience.
2. Proven experience in iron ore and hard rock materials handling systems.
3. Previous experience in a similar role.
4. Knowledge of mechanical engineering systems and equipment.
5. Strong communication and leadership skills, with experience guiding multi-disciplinary teams.
