As they continue to grow, they are seeking a dynamic and strategic Group Commercial Manager to join their executive leadership team to be based in either NSW or Victoria. Role Overview: As the Group Commercial Manager, reporting to the CEO, you will be pivotal in driving commercial & risk strategy, optimizing profitability, and ensuring indistinguishable best practice across the group. You will head a team of commercial & risk professionals, manage stakeholder relationships, and contribute to the overall business strategy. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement commercial strategies that align with the company's objectives. Oversee / review company ethos on management of contracts and negotiations to maximize profitability. Provide strategic leadership to the commercial team, fostering a culture of excellence. Collaborate with project teams to ensure effective cost management and risk mitigation. Comprehensive review of how the national group approach money and how it is used. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and subcontractors. Analyse market trends and industry developments to inform strategic decision-making. Monitor project performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement. Fearless approach to change, adopting best practice from other industry to improve performance Qualifications: Proven experience in a senior commercial & risk management role within the commercial building or construction sector, preferably with an established local, national contractor. Strong understanding of contracts, negotiations, risk & compliance. Exceptional leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
