Fitters, Turners & Machinists (Trades & Services)

You will complete a Certificate III Engineering Mechanical over 48 months through a combination of formal training with a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and practical on-the-job experience with Zeal Futures and our host employer, Shoalhaven City Council.
Throughout your formal training and practical experience in the workplace, you will have the opportunity to:
* Assist tradesmen performing across mechanical fitting duties for Shoalhaven Water
* Carry out installation and maintenance for Shoalhaven Water assets
* Read and interpret drawings and measure components
* Mark out jobs, set up machines, prepare materials, tools and fixtures for machining
* Use hand & power tools as well as cranes, forklifts and hot works equipment
* Assemble, maintain and repair equipment/machines
* Work with qualified tradespeople within the Shoalhaven Water industry sites
* Assist in general mechanical duties that are within the limits of the skills, competence and ability of an apprentice
This position will commence in early 2025.

* Commitment to completing the apprenticeship
Mandatory Requirements
* Willingness to undertake Working with Children Check
* Willingness to undertake National Police Check
