Job Description We are seeking an accomplished and dynamic Business Unit Manager to lead our Dermatology team, spearheading both sales and marketing leadership initiatives. The Business Unit Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations, strategy and performance of the Dermatology business unit, where you can transform modern marketing communications to deliver exceptional customer experiences, inspire your team, and make a significant positive impact on the patients we serve. The role requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of the market dynamics, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive business growth, ensure customer satisfaction, and achieve financial objectives. NOTE: Interstate Travel required in-frequently (every 4-6 weeks), and International Travel very infrequently (1-2 times a year). KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction to the marketing and sales teams. Inspire and mentor your team to achieve and exceed business goals, fostering an environment of innovation, collaboration, and 200% accountability. Drive the development and implementation of cutting-edge marketing strategies. Engage with stakeholders to create insights driven, captivating omni-channel campaigns that align with our brand philosophy and resonate with our target audience. Help lead and coach the sales team to optimise performance and achieve sales objectives. Establish clear targets and incentive schemes to drive success and enhance team performance. Gathering, analysing and synthesising data to generate impactful insights that drive action. Foster effective collaboration across various departments, ensuring that the business unit's goals align with the overall objectives of AbbVie. Cultivate a culture of knowledge sharing and synergy. Oversee financial planning, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management. Ensure fiscal responsibility and strategic allocation of resources to maximize ROI. Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the success of business initiatives. Implement corrective actions where necessary to ensure optimal performance. Identify new business opportunities, market trends, and potential challenges. Develop strategies that leverage these insights to drive growth and maintain our competitive edge. Build and nurture high-performing teams. Develop and coach talent and build succession plans in order to ensure continuous high performance and engaged talent pipeline in Sales and Marketing. Provide mentorship, conduct performance evaluations, and foster a culture of professional growth and development. Report any adverse event within 24 hours as per AbbVie’s policies and procedures. Proactively participate in AbbVie’s WHS programs, adhere to policies and promote a safe work environment at all times. Adhere to AbbVie’s internal codes of conduct and compliance processes. Other ad hoc duties such as administrative duties, as requested.
