Purpose of Role: We are seeking an enthusiastic Rubber Liner to join our team based in Orange. As a rubber liner, you will be responsible for applying rubber lining to tanks, valves and pipes to ensure quality and durability of our products for our customers.
Ideally, you will have a strong background in rubber lining techniques, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
This role would be ideal for someone with a background in the following trades, Fabrication, material handling, flooring and pattern making.
Hours of Work:
* Monday to Thursday 6.00am - 2.30pm
* Friday 6.00am - 12.00pm
* Overtime available - work varies with workshop and site-based work with shutdowns bi-monthly
Key Responsibilities:
* Preparing vessels for application of lining by scraping or painting interior surfaces and ensuring that sandblasting has been completed appropriately.
* Application of WMA rubber products to required vessels.
* Test lining for holes and faulty seams, using device that creates spark on contact with metal vessel through apertures in rubber.
* Undertake mine site shutdowns as required.
* Ensure the rubber lining process is effective, safe and refine any improvements required.
* Maintain all rubber lining and company equipment in safe and working condition, ensuring that materials are stored and used in a safe and appropriate manner.
* Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviours in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.
Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
* Prior experience in rubber lining in a similar position is ideal, but not essential.
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
* Knowledge in the preparation and application of rubber and wear products and coating systems.
* Demonstrated commitment to quality and safety and a positive attitude and willingness to learn
* Willing to work reasonable amounts of overtime as required to service customer requirements.
