About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our team in Noarlunga, South Australia. This is a full-time opportunity for a skilled professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to contribute to the continued success of our hospitality business.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain full operational knowledge of all recipes, portion sizes, standards, and presentation styles used within the kitchen
Assist in menu development, with consideration of food and labour cost control
Collaborate with management to set and monitor daily and weekly production levels
Manage stock levels effectively, understanding the impact on food costs
Uphold strict compliance with food hygiene and health and safety standards
Ensure all ingredients used are fresh and of high quality
Prepare meals to the highest standard, maintaining consistency and excellence
Supervise, mentor, and train junior kitchen staff as required
Handle food-related customer complaints professionally and efficiently
Work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service delivery
Demonstrate strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to kitchen operations
Skills and Experience
Formal culinary qualifications (Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent)
Proven experience as a Chef in a high-volume or quality-focused kitchen
Strong knowledge of food safety and workplace health and safety practices
Excellent leadership, communication, and teamwork skills
Ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain high standards at all times
Flexible availability, including weekends and public holidays
Salary and Benefits
Annual salary between $70,000 - $75,000, commensurate with experience
