In this role you will play a key role in this retail operation by overseeing all aspects of store management. You will be responsible for ensuring the store's success through effective leadership, staff management, and operational excellence. Your main duties will include:
DESCRIPTION
1. Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage a team of dedicated and motivated retail professionals. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork and exceptional customer service.
2. Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, track merchandise turnover, and manage stock ordering to ensure that the store is well-stocked with popular products while minimizing overstock.
3. Customer Service: Lead by example in providing exceptional customer service. Resolve customer inquiries, issues, and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
4. Sales and Profitability: Set sales targets and goals, implement effective sales strategies, and monitor financial performance. Identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost control.
5. Visual Merchandising: Oversee the presentation and layout of the store to optimize the shopping experience for customers.
6. Compliance: Ensure that the store adheres to all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and compliance with local regulations.
7. Reporting: Generate regular reports on store performance, sales trends, and other key metrics to inform decision-making.
REQUIREMENTS
8. Previous retail management experience, preferably as a Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
9. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
10. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
11. Proficiency in inventory management and basic financial analysis.
12. Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
13. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
14. Knowledge of the Yellowknife retail market is a plus.
