Full Time Control Room Operator at Monash University Clayton Free parking available on site Pay rate of $28.89 super and shift penalties where applicable About the role MSS Security is looking for a dedicated Control Room Operator to become part of our team at Monash University. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing daily control room operations, managing incident responses, monitoring security systems, compiling reports, and ensuring adherence to site policies. We are seeking a candidate with a strong understanding of various CCTV, access control systems and investigation report writing. Duties include but are not limited to: Monitor CCTV systems and alarms to ensure constant surveillance and early detection of any security risks. Respond promptly to security incidents, alarms, and emergencies, escalating issues as required. Collaborate with emergency services to coordinate responses to incidents. Regularly test and maintain security systems to ensure they are fully operational. Provide clear and concise communication. Ideal candidates will have: Strong computer skills including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Excellent communication skills. E xperience in using Milestone CCTV, Inner Range/Infiniti Security System and resolver reporting system would be preferable. Proven experience working in a security control room. Requirements: Certificate II (or higher) in Security Operations. Security licence with control room subcategory. Working with children check (or willing to obtain).
