About the role
As the Safety Partner you will partner with business units to support work health and safety projects and investigations. You will provide coaching and support to drive outcomes that result in not only a safe work environment but also build a safety first culture which, in turn, helps to improve our organisational performance.
You are able to build effective partnerships through strong customer engagement with both management and staff. You can be responsive to operational needs and can understand and apply legislation, regulations, codes of practice and policy.
This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* tertiary qualifications in a related field or significant contemporary experience in a similar role
* NSW Construction Induction Card and a current Class C Drivers Licence
* significant experience in work health and safety management in a large diverse service industry organisation
* significant experience in the application of current work health and safety legislation, regulations and codes of practice
* demonstrated experience developing and implementing work health and safety management compliance frameworks including developing policies, system processes, auditing and monitoring of programs
* demonstrated experience in coaching, training and developing capability of staff and managers, particularly in the area of workplace safety and driving a safety culture, by fostering a performance based and customer focused work culture
* demonstrated experience in project management to implement work health and safety initiatives including planning and managing change to deliver improvement of performance outcomes
* demonstrated experience in the research, analysis and interpretation of complex and often sensitive information including the preparation of reports, with the ability to deal with challenges creatively to achieve solution based workplace safety outcomes
* demonstrated ability to build strong, credible relationships and influence, persuade and negotiate outcomes that add value to the organisation
* proven ability to assess and interpret information to formulate recommendations and provide specialist advice to enable the organisation achieve quality outcomes.

Other important information
* The salary range for this position ranges between $86,843.40 to $103,015.61 (dependent on skills and experience), plus 11.5% superannuation, plus a motor vehicle allowance ($207.13 per week).
* We have 2 permanent full-time roles available.
* This role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight.
* We are able to offer hybrid and flexible working conditions for this role.
* This role is located at the Wyong Administration Building and will travel across the local government area.
* Successful candidates will be required to be vaccinated for tetanus.
