We are currently recruiting for a Company Accountant to provide advice to the finance team and management of our business. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and the Directors, you will have a competent understanding of what makes a manufacturing business in the construction industry tick. We provide a dynamic, friendly team environment and a business with strategic intent to foster opportunities and be agile in an always competitive construction industry. The Role: Coordinate and manage all aspects of the finance function of the business. Preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for the business. Preparation of BAS, Payroll Tax, FBT, and Long Service Leave returns. Ensure accurate recording of customer payments, generate invoices, and monitor outstanding balances to maintain healthy cash flow. Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, collaborate with customers to ensure timely collections, and provide regular financial reports to management. Oversight of SOPA and trade credit management. Supervision of the Accounts Payable function and Payroll. Management of insurance policies. Ad hoc financial reporting as required. Manage and monitor cash flow. Ensure the business is achieving set operational and financial goals in line with the strategic plan. Ensuring effective communication is achieved internally to ensure all compliance and contractual deadlines are met. Providing energized and motivated leadership for the administration and finance team and generally as a member of the senior management team. Identifying, recommending, and implementing productivity and cost savings opportunities that do not detract from client service standards. Skills and Qualifications: Minimum 5 years' experience working in a similar finance role. A tertiary qualification in accountancy and/or substantial previous financial management experience would be highly regarded. Advanced Microsoft Office skills particularly Excel and financial software packages preferably Xero. Previous experience working within manufacturing or construction industries is preferred. Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Demonstrated ability in budgeting, forecasting, and preparing financial reports. Demonstrated competency meeting compliance and contract deadlines. Does this sound like you?
