ManpowerGroup Defence and Aerospace are seeking Aircraft Maintenance Engineers to work on a major Defence Aerospace program based in Williamtown, NSW. If you have completed or are near completion of your Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical, Avionics, Structures, or Armament) then we want to hear from you!
Ideally you will have a background in Defence, but all aviation backgrounds will be considered, i.e. civil aviation, fixed wing, helicopters, etc.
Responsibilities:
1. Under the guidance of the program Team Leader, you will carry out both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance according to your trade type:
2. Mechanical: Maintain hydraulic, environmental, pneumatic, and propulsion systems, related system components and propellers.
3. Avionics: Manage the maintenance of avionic systems and components through routine inspections and fault diagnosis.
4. Structures: Production, maintenance, and repair of materials and components on the aircraft inclusive of sheet metal, bonded, and non-metallic composite materials.
5. Armaments: Responsible for the maintenance of the emergency escape system, egress systems, and weapons systems on the aircraft, along with the onboard computers, stores, and aircraft load capabilities.
6. Communicate across the team and at various levels to ensure your Team Leader is informed of all defects, deficiencies, and maintenance errors as they occur.
7. Record all details of work performed and ensure the appropriate maintenance and technical documentation is utilised to ensure compliance.
What you bring:
1. Hold a Certificate IV in Aeroskills (or near completion) (Mandatory).
2. Australian Citizen with ability to obtain an AGSVA Negative Vetting 1 Security Clearance.
3. Experience or a strong interest in working with Military Aircraft.
4. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
5. Ability to deliver work within a fast-paced team environment.
