Tresillian is currently recruiting an experienced Psychologist/ Clinical Psychologist or Social Worker to our Macksville Unit which provides care 24 hours per day, 5 days.
Psychologist/ Clinical Psychologist or Social Worker is directly involved with families who attend Tresillian Family Care Centres.The focus is on family functioning: enabling parents to identify and develop strategies to deal with the crises and stresses ofparenthood; enhancing the clients’ awareness of and interaction in interpersonal relationship in the wider familycontext; and promoting the emotional and mental health of thefamily.
The role includes expertise in the clinical assessment and treatment of postnatal depression and anxiety and related perinatal mental health issues, including child protection and domestic violence concerns, infant mental health, parent-infant knowledge, individual and relationship counselling and group therapy. The Psychologist/ Social Worker is an active participant of a multi-disciplinary team. This involves joint work, formal and informal consultation, evaluation and planning for future directions in service delivery and staff support. The Psychologist/Social Worker works within the Allied Health Team which is based on a centralised service delivery model.
