Senior Consultant
We are looking for Consultant and Senior Consultants to join our growing Brisbane Advisory Team. We are seeking highly motivated individuals with advisory/consulting backgrounds. We want to hear from you if you are looking to:
Support the strategy and delivery of Australia’s largest infrastructure pipeline.
Work closely with RPS senior leaders and our clients to develop creative solutions for the delivery of transport, education, health, property, energy and renewable projects.
Grow your skills and experience across sectors and be supported to develop your own specialisations and areas of interest.
Knowledge and experience
* Understand and be able to confidently articulate the value of effective project development service offerings to a business’ bottom line and/or government reputation.
* Have commenced developing a network and strong market reputation across the NSW/QLD/VIC public and private sectors relevant to government infrastructure projects.
* The capability to act upon your current relationships to identify and develop immediate business opportunities.
* Commercially astute, you will ideally have a background in a consulting or contractor environment and/or government sector experience.
* This role requires you to have a high level of drive, ambition and versatility as it forms part of a broader team that acts upon innovation and thought leadership.
* You have a keen eye for talented professionals and are motivated by building a team of outstanding people at all levels in the business to deliver on the future needs of our clients.
* You will work on complex project development projects. As a member of a team or as an individual in a client team you will also be expected to leverage client and commercial opportunities working within such teams.
* When not engaged with a client, assist with bid writing, bid co-ordination and other activities that enhance RPS’ ability to win work.
* Utilising your skills in the front-end and the back-end of the project life-cycle, your key role will be to provide a high level of expertise to the Project team, undertaking but not limited to the following:
* Ability to view the project from the client’s perspective;
* Make presentations with skill and confidence;
* Present high-quality report writing with attention to detail;
* Monitor and maintain quality;
* Demonstrate efficiencies and effective processes;
* Work with clients to build relationships built on trust.
Education and experience
* Tertiary Qualifications in Engineering, Law, Project Management, Economics or Commerce / Finance are desirable.
* 3-5 years proven experience in project development, project/ programme management, assurance, risk, including managing projects for government and/or infrastructure delivery clients.
* Track record of working with clients in the infrastructure.
* Demonstrated ability to form long-term, trusted relationships with clients and partners.
* A strong understanding and proven experience with stakeholders (at all levels).
* Excellent skills in managing relationships, teams, projects and issues.
* Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and work co-operatively with people at all levels, to achieve outcomes.
* Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
* Manage and grow business relationships.
