Join us, and become part of a team where innovation, teamwork, and safety come first.Scope of worksThis is a 12-month maximum term opportunity for maternity cover, on an 8:6 | 7:7 roster. FIFO from Perth or DIDO from Kalgoorlie.The Laboratory technician will work at the onsite lab located at Mt Ida, working closely with the processing and geology teams. You will be expected to be able to perform all aspects of sample preparation, acid digestion, wet chemistry, Tumble / PAL – Cyanide leach, operate laboratory instrumentation and equipment – AAS, UV-vis, Acid Digestion technique, Wet chemistry preparation, PAL machine / Tumble (Cyanide Leaching), sample fusion, titration, sample preparation, Jaw crusher, splitter, milling, pulverise, filter press, screen sizer and other laboratory test work.Qualifications, experience and skills we value:Certificate IV in laboratory techniques (Desirable)Minimum 3 years experience in operating AAS instruments and other laboratory instruments & equipment for a mining companyExperience in Gold Mining (highly regarded)Ability to maintain a high quality of work while meeting daily production targetsStrong organisational skillsKnowledge of relevant standards relating to Laboratory proceduresHigh attention to detailAbility to comply with site specific and Aurenne QHSE policiesAbility to work independently and use your initiativeEffective written and verbal communication with strong mathematical skillsExcellent Computer skills – Balance, AAS software, Pronto, Excel and MarcoAlso required:Satisfactory NPC clearance (Essential)Valid unrestricted work visa, permanent residency or Australian citizenship (Essential)Benefits include:Permanent role on lifestyle friendly 8:6 | 7:7 RosterFIFO from Perth or DIDO from KalgoorlieBrand new Camp accommodation and facilitiesContinual development and ability to expand your careerBonus scheme for all employeesIf this position interests you AND you have the skills listed above, please apply via the link.We are an equal opportunity employer and encourage Women and First Nations People to apply.*** Please note only people with unrestricted Australian working rights will be considered ***
