We are looking for an experienced Network Peering Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the global Internet ecosystem, specifically in Asia. You will be responsible for managing peer relationships and Internet Exchanges, negotiating peering interconnections, optimizing traffic profiles, and managing costs with Internet Exchange providers.
Responsibilities
Maintain healthy relationships with established peers and develop relationships with potential strategic peers.
Manage IX (Internet Exchange) relationships and contracts to ensure optimal connectivity and performance.
Formulate, execute, and manage strategies to keep traffic localized to optimize cost and performance.
Represent the organization’s interest in developing internet ecosystem policy.
Qualifications
2+ years technical experience in network design, development, and automation OR Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
4+ years of experience in networking technologies.
Experience in strategic negotiations and/or business development in peering and internet technologies.
Understanding of BGP configuration and internet routing.
Experience with contractual/MSA negotiations.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
