Rural and Remote Housing Incentive Scheme (RRHIS): Eligible participants include newly appointed or transferring teachers and school leaders commencing their tenure at designated state schools. Permission to Teach and department interns (Trade to Teach and Turn to Teaching) are eligible. You are not eligible if you already reside within 50 minutes of an eligible school. The scheme includes provisions for initial temporary accommodation paid upfront by the department, followed by a taxable rental allowance aligned with the teacher's weekly rent expenses.
Applicants for these positions must possess: A relevant teaching qualification.Current full registration or current provisional registration with eligibility for full registration as a teacher in Queensland.
