About the Role
1. This role is based at Armidale Rural Referral Hospital, which also provides support to Guyra Hospital.
2. Your typical day is 07:30-16:00 Monday to Friday, undertaking both preventative & reactive maintenance work across a wide range of plant and & equipment. You will also be required to participate in an on-call roster.
3. Working in a busy hospital environment you will need to continually work around patients and visitors with respect to their privacy needs, timing of the work, and end-user satisfaction ensuring all work goes to plan and within budget.
4. You will work with the Maintenance Manager and wider team to ensure all work carried out is of the highest quality and complies with all relevant legislation, standards, and policies.

14. Successful candidate’s remuneration will be determined by their qualification and hours of approved courses completed that are relevant to the requirements of the position under the Skills Trades Award.
15. To be eligible for permanent employment in this position you must be an Australian Citizen, a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport. Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable local candidate is identified for the position; in this instance, you may only be offered employment in line with the conditions and expiry date of your visa.
16. All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate (AIR Immunisation History Statement) certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.
17. Acceptable proof of COVID-19 vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement (IHS), or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate, or AIR COVID-19 and Influenza IHS. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.?
