We are currently inviting applications for the role of: Primary Library Assistant / Teacher Aide The role The Primary Library Assistant / Teacher Aide supports the efficient operation of the primary library, creating a welcoming environment, while supporting students and staff.
The role also offers support as a Teacher Aide in various classrooms as required.
Some key responsibilities include: Acquiring, cataloguing and maintaining the library collection Providing exceptional customer service to those visiting the library Creating a welcoming library environment which offers a range of initiatives throughout the year.
Maintaining an innovative and progressive outlook on the library service offered This is a part-time role during school term time, Monday to Friday 8am – 3.30pm.
The ideal candidate While experience in a library setting would be beneficial is it not essential.
The ideal candidate will bring: Either have experience working in a library or the aptitude to quickly acquire the knowledge required for the role.
Well-developed interpersonal skills coupled with strong customer service.
Strong administrative skills with a high-level of competence with the Microsoft suite.
Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities.
A high level of attention to detail.
Either experience with cataloguing systems such as Oliver or the aptitude to quickly learn the system.
The ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
A can-do attitude and high level of flexibility.
