The Opportunity
The Facility Manager NSW/ACT is a key leadership role for RSL LifeCare. The role is responsible for providing exceptional clinical and operational support, oversight of care and service delivery to residents living across RSL LifeCare’s various facilities. The position spans all aspects of managing these homes, including operational, lifestyle, food services and governance elements to ensure the facility provides residents with high-quality care in a safe and welcoming home-like environment while operating within budget, and meeting compliance requirements.
Reporting to the General Manager Residential Aged Care, the Facility Manager NSW/ACT will be responsible for:
* Promote the profile of RSL LifeCare in the local area by building relationships with businesses and community groups, and other RSL LifeCare managers in the area.
* Provide high level operational and clinical support of the designated homes within their remit.
* Support and enable the development of the facility management team. Identify opportunities for growth and be aware of organisational opportunities, education, and resources available to support them.
* Support Facility Management in their preparation for accreditation, unannounced ACQSC Commission visits and any other staff shortage circumstances.
This role will be supported by a well-regarded community provider, with a supportive and hands-on Executive team, with the opportunity to deliver holistic care outcomes that incorporate clinical and lifestyle elements, with a resident-focused approach.
About You
For this appointment we are seeking an established leader with a track record in developing and leading clinical services within the Aged Care sector. In addition, the successful candidate will have;
* Undergraduate qualification in Human Services, Nursing, Health Service Management, Business, or Social Sciences.
* Minimum 5 years operational or administrative management experience with demonstrated ability to lead change and sustain a high-performing team.
* Diversity of thought and experience within health care, aged care, or other customer-focused sectors (e.g. hospitality).
* Sound financial acumen with experience performing effectively against operational budgets, including labour costs.
* Experience managing operational compliance with complex regulatory requirements with the ability to interpret the regulatory environment as required.
