We’re seeking dedicated and vigilant Security Officers to join our team and help us achieve this goal.Position Overview:As a Security Officer within an educational environment, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and security of students, staff, and school property. You will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling designated areas, responding to incidents, and providing a visible security presence.Key Responsibilities:•Patrol: Conduct regular campus patrols, including buildings, grounds, and parking areas, to deter and detect suspicious activity.•Incident Response: Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, and emergency situations, providing support and assistance as needed.•Access Control: Monitor access points, including entrances and exits, ensuring that only authorised individuals gain entry.•Surveillance: Operate and monitor CCTV systems, reporting unusual behaviour or security breaches.•Reporting: Document and report all incidents, observations, and security-related activities in a clear and detailed manner.•Customer Service: Provide assistance and information to students, staff, and visitors professionally and courteously.•Collaboration: Work closely with school administration, local law enforcement, and emergency services to ensure coordinated responses to incidents.Qualifications:•Experience: Previous experience in security or law enforcement is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.•Education: High school diploma or equivalent.•Skills: Strong observational skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to remain calm and effective under pressure.•Physical Fitness: Ability to walk, stand, and respond quickly to incidents. Physical stamina and agility are required.•Licenses/Certifications: Valid security officer licence or certification is a plus.
