About the role We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our busy and friendly Perth Mechanical team. The role is suitable for an upcoming candidate ideally with 2+ years Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) design experience on building projects.You'll be supported working on a wide range of projects and get opportunities to attend regular design and client-facing meetings and industry events to expand your consulting skills.Stantec has a strong culture of empowering individuals to take on greater responsibility and work to push their development. We are currently working on a wide range of health care, commercial, retail, defence, industrial and educational building projects.Day to day tasks would involve: Produce HVAC designs in accordance with code and company quality standardsDevelop HVAC Engineering, heat load calculations, equipment and reticulation sizing and selection, coordination, and documentationProvide clear direction to drafters and site contractorsRepresent Stantec externally to Clients, managing these relationships and generate repeat business by providing a focus on client satisfaction.Bring value to in-house design/project meetingsProvide positive contributions to our team cultureAdhere to Stantec professional standards, ethics and Stantec quality proceduresTo be successful for this role you'll need: Hold a Mechanical Engineering DegreeIdeally have 5+ years mechanical (HVAC) consulting engineering experience in the Building Services industryKnowledge of the Building Code of Australia and relevant Australian StandardsWorking knowledge of Revit and other softwareExperience in planning and managing projectsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to prioritise workloads to meet deadlinesPositive, can-do attitude and strong work ethicA willingness to learn and adhere to Stantec's professional & ethics standards and quality proceduresAbout Stantec The Stantec community unites approximately 31,000 employees working in over 450 locations across six continents.
