Senior Manager – Data Partnering, Strategy & PerformanceLocation: Sydney, Melbourne, BrisbaneType: Permanent, Full-TimeThe Opportunity An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and results-driven Senior Manager – Data Partnering, Strategy & Performance to lead the data strategy, business engagement, and agile delivery of data and analytics solutions across key business domains.In this role, you will:Lead Data Strategy and Execution: Develop and execute a portfolio of data and analytics products and services aligned with business objectives.Own End-to-End Delivery: Manage the full lifecycle from strategy and requirements to solution design, development, and deployment, ensuring business value is delivered.Drive Modernisation and Cloud Migration: Oversee data platform modernisation initiatives and support the transition from legacy systems to scalable, cloud-based solutions.Partner with Senior Stakeholders: Build strong relationships with C-suite executives, business leaders, and technical teams to ensure alignment between business needs and technical solutions.Manage Agile Squads and Cross-Functional Teams: Oversee virtual squads, including data scientists, data engineers, solution architects, and business analysts, ensuring the successful delivery of high-impact solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesPortfolio Ownership: Lead and manage a portfolio of data initiatives across business areas such as Commercial, SME, Elders, and Modernisation.Stakeholder Engagement: Translate business requirements into actionable data solutions, fostering collaboration between business, IT, and data teams.Data Governance and Compliance: Ensure adherence to data governance frameworks, privacy regulations, and security protocols.Product Ownership: Define and maintain product backlogs, prioritising features and enhancements aligned with business goals.Demand and Supply Management: Assess project demands, prioritise initiatives, and manage resources effectively to meet business needs.To excel in this role, you must have:Extensive Insurance Industry Experience: A strong understanding of underwriting, commercial insurance, claims, and data models used in insurance operations.Proven Leadership Experience: 7+ years leading data-driven transformation programs, ideally within the insurance, financial services, or highly regulated industries.Strong Stakeholder Management: Demonstrated ability to engage, influence, and align senior stakeholders with both business and technical objectives.Data and Analytics Expertise: A solid understanding of data pipelines, ETL, data modelling, data governance, machine learning, and AI applications.Cloud and Modernisation Knowledge: Hands-on experience overseeing cloud platform migration, data modernisation, and legacy system replacement.Product and Portfolio Management: Strong capability in backlog management, demand/supply management, and agile delivery models.Business Case Development: Proven ability to develop and present business cases, secure funding, and deliver measurable business value.Team Leadership and Agile Delivery: Experienced in managing agile, cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality delivery.Desirable SkillsFamiliarity with commercial insurance, underwriting processes, and actuarial data models.Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.Knowledge of Pega CDH, Salesforce, or other decisioning platforms.Why This Role?
