The ideal candidate will be dedicated to excellence and possess a true passion for culinary creativity, upholding and elevating our high standards in every dish.The RoleManage and lead the kitchen team, including rostering, training and mentoring staff.Develop and implement creative, high-quality menu items that showcase seasonal and local ingredients.Ensure consistently high standards of food preparation, presentation and service.Monitor and control food costs, stock take and inventory to maximise profitability.Maintain a safe, clean and efficient kitchen environment that complies with all health and safety regulations.Collaborate with our upper management team to develop and execute marketing and promotional initiatives.What we’re looking forMinimum two years’ experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in a high-volume hospitality setting.Formal culinary training and/or relevant qualifications in commercial cookery.Proven track record of leading and motivating kitchen teams.Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to multitask.Strong working knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.Creativity and passion for developing innovative menu items and seasonal specials with experience in menu design, costing and a strong interest in adapting to changing food trends.Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work collaboratively with the food and beverage team and contribute to building a positive and harmonious culture.Have the flexibility to work a range of shifts including days, evenings and weekends.Excellent attention to detail and experience in managing and projecting budgets.What we offerOpportunities for further development.Ongoing training and development programs.Supportive and collaborative team environment.
