You may be an experienced Clinical Midwife or a Registered Midwife, looking to take the next step in their career.
This is a part-time position, working 32 hours per week; we have permanent and maximum-term positions available.
Mater Mothers' Hospital is a leader in the provision of high-quality maternity and newborn services for the people of Queensland and northern New South Wales. Providing exceptional care and support of women and their families, Mater Mothers' Hospitals offer integrated services covering obstetrics, gynaecology, neonatology, and maternal foetal medicine.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing private postnatal care with a high volume of normal and complex care cases within the Mater Mothers' Hospitals.
Your extensive experience and skills will ensure you adapt easily to the requirements of this post-natal ward and make you a valued member of a team committed to delivering exceptional midwifery care.
About you This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a highly skilled and professional multi-disciplinary team, utilising your enthusiasm and midwifery passion for the delivery of best practice within a supportive and professional environment.
You will provide clinical leadership and advanced professional expertise and mentorship to staff members through sharing your clinical knowledge. In addition, you will assist and support the Midwifery Unit Manager with the preparation of clinical and safety improvement audits.
The successful candidates will have:
Current registration with AHPRA with midwifery endorsement (no restrictions)At least two years post-graduate experience for Registered Midwives, preferably within a postnatal unitDemonstrated high levels of communication (both written and verbal) and clinical problem-solving skillsEvidence of continuing educational and professional development, preferably post-graduate qualificationsCommitment to the continuous improvement of health care and nursing practiceAbility to work in a team environment including the larger multidisciplinary teamMater is Queensland's largest and most innovative not-for-profit healthcare service, providing care for almost 700,000 patients a year across a network of 11 hospitals.
