The Role As the Assistant Accountant you will be responsible for providing essential support to the finance department through the delivery of accurate financial transactions and management of the daily financial operations. Duties and responsibilities include, but aren't limited to: Maintaining cash flow through daily banking operations. Prepare daily and monthly bank reconciliations. Preparing and posting journal entries. Reconciling general ledger accounts and monthly balance sheet reconciliations. Preparing monthly Business Activity Statements. Maintaining the Fixed Asset Register. Support the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable function. Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders. About You You will be degree qualified in Accounting, Finance or a related field. Demonstrated experience with bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations. Experience in preparing journal entries and BAS statements. Experience with Fixed Asset Register maintenance. Experience with ERP systems with Epicor experience highly desired. Demonstrated understanding of accounting practices and principles. The Opportunity Immediate start | $35 - $40 per hour plus super. Parking onsite.
