My client, a large ASX listed organisation, is seeking a proactive finance professional to provide key financial insights and support for its technology division.About the Role:As a Management Accountant, you'll play a key role in driving financial transparency, optimising IT expenditure, and supporting strategic decision making.
You'll work closely with IT leadership and finance stakeholders, ensuring accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and cost analysis while identifying opportunities for efficiency and growth.Key Responsibilities:Financial Reporting & Analysis:Prepare accurate monthly and quarterly management reports, including variance analysis, forecasting, and performance insights.
Ensure IT spend aligns with budget expectations and business strategy.Cost Management & Optimisation:Track, monitor, and analyse IT operating and capital expenditure (OPEX & CAPEX), identifying cost-saving opportunities and ensuring resources are allocated efficiently.Budgeting & Forecasting:Work closely with IT and finance teams to develop detailed budgets and rolling forecasts, ensuring alignment with business objectives.Business Partnering:Act as a trusted finance partner to IT leaders, providing strategic financial insights to support decision-making on technology investments, vendor negotiations, and project prioritisation.IT Project Finance: Support the financial planning and tracking of IT projects, ensuring accurate cost allocation, funding approvals, and financial governance.Process & Systems Improvement:Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes, reporting efficiencies, and system automation within IT finance.Compliance & Governance:Ensure adherence to financial policies, accounting standards, and audit requirements, maintaining accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.About You:CPA/CA qualified with 3+ years' management accounting experience, ideally with exposure to IT finance, project accounting, or technology sectors.Experience working with large, complex structures and proven ability to meet tight reporting deadlines.Strong understanding of management accounting principles, CAPEX/OPEX and project finance.Confident analytical skills with proficiency in SAP or JD Edwards and advanced Excel/Power BI (preferred), ideally with experience in financial modelling.Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with the confidence to influence senior leaders.Proactive and commercially minded, with a passion for technology and financial strategy.What's on Offer?Opportunity to work in a high-profile ASX-listed business with direct exposure to senior leadership.A dynamic, technology-driven environment where finance plays a strategic role.Career growth opportunities within a fast-paced and evolving industry.To Note:Must be comfortable working 5 days in the office.
