Job Details:
Job Summary: Performs both routine and complex maintenance and IT duties following established standards and practices. This position is integral in planning maintenance and IT activity as well as deployments with customer personnel. This position works under limited supervision, and liaises regularly with military aircrew.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise the work of all Air Systems Specialist and Communication Information Specialist personnel.
Instruct, demonstrate and provide information regarding fault finding and troubleshooting of systems.
Organise schedules and coordinate assigned support to RAAF squadrons.
Plan and execute support for deployed operations.
Works with Cubic Global Defense (CGD) engineering staff on all activities related to the instrumentation and field testing of systems.
Administration, upgrading, patching, maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of ICT systems, network devices, and Controlled Cryptographic Items.
Release management of all updates and patches to the ICT infrastructure.
Maintain a solid understanding of ASCS ISM Security Controls for the environment.
Must be able to maintain NV2 Security Clearance status or higher.
Maintain compliance with Change and Release Management processes.
Update and Maintain Configuration Artifacts and Associated documentation standards.
Must be available to deploy within Australia and overseas up to 8 weeks per year.
Identifies and analyses equipment malfunctions, uses verbal and written instructions to re-work, repair, test, troubleshoot and maintain hardware equipment.
Provides technical support during all stages of Large Force Exercises (LFE) which includes interaction with both Australian and foreign Military personnel.
Builds the master templates for local flight operations and LFE.
Possesses technical writing skills, provides editing and oversight for written updates to technical manuals, schematics and procedures.
Identify and report on required consumable items for use by the team.
Interpret and produce electronic schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings and network drawings.
Identify and analyse equipment malfunctions and utilise various maintenance and repair manuals, test equipment, wiring diagrams, schematics, electronics devices, electrical equipment and verbal instructions to re-work, repair, and test, troubleshoot and maintain equipment.
Work with engineers to investigate complex issues associated with ACMI pod tracking, component failures and component re-designs and provide solutions to complex issues.
Design, test and implement approved modifications to the system.
Co-ordinate Logistics and Repairable Item Pipelines to ensure minimum turnaround times of items is observed.
Perform maintenance of computers and associated peripherals as required.
Maintain records of all support and repair activities in accordance with contractual requirements. This requires entry into the ADF CAMM2 system and Cubic’s LMIS database.
Plan and support Live Monitor activities at local and deployed locations. This action involves siting of antennas and masts at remote locations and establishing a network between the pods and the Remote Range Unit (RRU).
Oversee the P5 ACMI pod distribution plan for local, deployed and Large Force Engagement (LFE) operations. This requires liaison between all exercise participants from multiple nations.

Minimum Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
Cert IV in aeroskills or equivalent and/or.
Degree or experience in ICT related fields.
CompTIA A+ and/or CompTIA Network+ Certification or equivalent experience.
Red Hat Linux experience.
Microsoft Windows Operating Systems experience.
