Therapeutic Specialist
The Therapeutic Specialist provides clinical leadership and consultation to the team, offering primary and secondary therapeutic support for children and young people in out-of-home care.
This role involves managing dynamic systems of support around the young person, ensuring comprehensive care planning and informed staff interactions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Complete assessments for children and young people, using findings to inform written reports or care plans.
* Apply a well-developed understanding of Attachment and Trauma Theories, their relationship to child abuse and neglect, and social, emotional, and cognitive disabilities.
* Practice knowledge relevant to working with traumatised and vulnerable children, young people, and families, including trauma-informed interventions and child development.
This position is classified at Level 6 under the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010.
Selection Criteria:
1. A statement addressing each essential and desirable selection criterion, providing examples of how you meet them.
2. A current resume detailing relevant skills and experience.
3. A photocopy of relevant academic qualifications.
4. The names and phone numbers of two recent work-related referees, with at least one being a recent supervisor.
